Welcome to the Iowa Street Rod Association web site!

Our Association was established in 1971 and has grown to over 800 members in Iowa and many other states.

Our goals are to promote interest in automobile events and activities such as rod runs, car shows, outings and benefits for the community and to promote sportsmanship and understanding of Street Rods and Customs to the public, law enforcement agencies and the press.

Iowa Street Rod Association promotes the National Street Rod Association’s safety program by designating several different cars shows around the state as “Safety Events”. NSRA offers free safety inspections and ISRA supplies awards – one for a Street Rod (1900-1948) and one for a Custom (1949-present).

Members receive eleven newsletters per year detailing Association activities through letters from the board members. It contains a calendar of statewide events with available flyers included in the mailing. Members may also list their own car parts needs or those parts they wish to sell/trade in the Stop N Shop section.

A members only banquet in November finishes out the year with introduction of new board members, socializing and fun!
